Solusi Multipoint embedded adalah solusi Cisco TelePresence untuk kebutuhan Multipoint conference yang tidak lebih dari 3 lokasi kantor cabang. Untuk kebutuhan tersebut, Kantor Pusat cukup menggunakan Endpoint Cisco TelePresence yang mempunyai opsi MultiSite (MS) yang dikenal juga dengan sebutan “Embedded MCU”. IP PABX adalah sistem telepon yang lengkap yang menyediakan panggilan telepon melalui jaringan data IP. komunikasi akan dikirim sebagai paket data melalui jaringan. Teknologi ini mencakup fitur-fitur komunikasi canggih, tetapi juga memberikan keleluasaan dalam pengembangan (expansi) dan keawetan yang diinginkan semua perusahaan.

IP PABX

Perusahaan tidak perlu mengganggu/mengubah infrastruktur komunikasi eksternal yang ada: Sebuah IP PABX dapat terhubung ke jalur PSTN tradisional melalui gateway VOIP - sehingga perusahaan dapat tetap menggunakan nomor telepon reguler.

Cara kerjanya

Sebuah sistem IP PABX terdiri dari satu atau lebih telepon SIP, server IP PABX dan secara opsional VOIP Gateway untuk terhubung ke jalur PSTN yang ada. Fungsi PABX IP server mirip dengan cara kerja proxy server: klien SIP, baik berupa software atau perangkat keras berbasis ponsel, mendaftar ke server IP PABX, dan ketika mereka ingin membuat panggilan mereka meminta IP PABX untuk melakukan panggilan. IP PBX memiliki daftar semua ponsel / pengguna dan alamat yang sesuai dengan SIP mereka dan dengan demikian dapat menghubungkan panggilan internal atau rute panggilan eksternal baik melalui gateway VOIP atau penyedia layanan VOIP.

1. H.323 

VoIP dapat berkomunikasi dengan sistem lain yang beroperasi pada jaringan packet-switch. Untuk dapat berkomunikasi dibutuhkan suatu standar sistem komunikasi yang kompatibel satu sama lain. Salah satu standar komunikasi pada VoIP menurut rekomendasi ITU-T adalah H.323 (1995-1996). Standar H.323 terdiri dari komponen, protokol dan prosedur yang menyediakan komunikasi multimedia melalui jaringan packet-based. Bentuk jaringan packet-based yang dapat dilalui antara lain jaringan internet, Internet Packet Exchange (IPX)-based, Local Area Network (LAN), dan Wide Area Network (WAN). H.323 dapat digunakan untuk layanan-layanan multimedia seperti komunikasi suara (IP telephony), komunikasi video dengan suara (video telephony), dan gabungan suara, video dan data.
Tujuan desain dan pengembangan H.323 adalah untuk memungkinkan interoperabilitas dengan tipe terminal multimedia lainnya. Terminal dengan standar H.323 dapat berkomunikasi dengan terminal H.320 pada N-ISDN, terminal H.321 pada ATM, dan terminal H.324 pada Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Terminal H.323 memungkinkan komunikasi real time dua arah berupa suara , video dan data.

2. MGCP (Media Gateway Control Protocol) 

MGCP ialah protokol yang digunakan untuk signaling dan call control yang digunakan dalam sistem VoIP yang terdistribusi. Sistem terdistribusi terdiri dari agent (media gateway controller), sebuah media gateway yang melakukan konversi sinyal media antara circuit dan packet, sebuah signaling gateway ketika terhubung PSTN.
Call Agent menggunakan MGCP untuk memberitahu media gateway :
• Event apa yang harus dilaporkan ke call agent
• Bagaimana endpoint terhubung
• Sinyal apa yang harus dilakukan di endpoint

MGCP memungkinkan call agent untuk mengaudit kondisi yang terjadi pada media gateway. Media gateway menggunakan MGCP untuk melaporkan event (off-hook atau dialed digit) ke call agent. MGCP memungkinkan beberapa call agent mempunyai knowledge dari kondisi device antara mereka membangun ulang jika perlu.

3. SCCP (Skinny Client Control Protocol) 

SCCP ialah protokol milik Cisco yang digunakan Cisco Unified Communication Manager dan Cisco IP phone. End Station dari jaringan, IP Phone atau PC dengan kemampuan VoIP, menjalankan program Skinny Client. Program ini membantu untuk memimalisasi biaya dan kompleksitas dari end station. Program ini berkomunikasi dengan Cisco Unified Communication Manager menggunakan komunikasi connection-oriented untuk membangun panggilan dengan H.323 end station lainnya. Ketika panggilan terbangun, kedua end station menggunakan komunikasi connectionless untuk transmisi audio. Cost dan overhead dikurangi dengan hanya menggunakan H.323 pada 58
pembangunan panggilan di Call Manager dan menggunakan SCCP untuk komunikasi audio yang aktual antar end station dengan H.323 end station lainnya.

4. SIP (Session Initation Protocol) 

Merupakan signaling protocol, banyak digunakan untuk membangun dan memutus sesi komunikasi multimedia seperti panggilan voice dan video melalui internet. Protokol ini dapat digunakan untuk membuat, mengubah dan mengakhiri sesi unicast atau multicast yang terdiri dari satu atau beberapa media stream. Modifikasi dapat meliputi pengubahan alamat atau port, mengundang partisipan lagi, menambah atau menghapus media streams. SIP berada pada session layer di OSI Model dan di application layer pada TCP/IP Model.
Karakteristik dari SIP adalah sebagai berikut:
• Transport independent, karena SIP dapat digunakan dengan UDP, TCP, SCTP, dsb
• Text-based, memungkinkan manusia untuk membaca dan menulis pesan SIP.

Multi Conference Unit (MCU)

Solusi MCU External adalah solusi Cisco TelePresence untuk mengakomodir kebutuhan multipoint conference dengan lokasi lebih dari 3 lokasi. MCU external ini adalah perangkat Cisco TelePresence MCU yang berupa hardware, yang umumnya ditempatkan di Data Center. Kapasitas dari MCU ini mulai dari kapasitas 6, 12, 15, 30 dan 40 video ports.

Cisco TelePresence MCU terdiri dari dua jenis, yaitu :

• Cisco TelePresence MCU 4500 Series (6, 12, 15, 30 dan 40 video ports)

• Cisco TelePresence MCU 4200 Series (6, 12, 15, 30 dan 40 video ports)

MCU 4200 series adalah seri MCU yang terdepan di bidang kualitas Standar Definition (SD). MCU ini memberikan kualitas audio dan video yang berkualitas untuk SD serta pengoprasian MCU yang sangat mudah. MCU ini support dan kompatible dengan perangkat video conference dari berbagai vendor.

• ConferenceMe, disebut juga multipoint desktop video. Memungkinkan user dapat bergabung serta berinteraktif secara audio/video menggunakan komputer/notebook yang diintegrasikan dengan web camera.

• Terintegrasi dengan streaming server, MCU ini mempunyai streaming server yang sudah terintagrasi didalamnya, pada saat MCU melakukan conference kita dapat menstream conference tersebut menggunakan komputer dengan aplikasi Windows Media player, real Player dan Quicktime Player.

• Mempunyai lebih dari 50 layout custom conference.

• Optional Dual port Ethernet, dimungkinkan untuk mengaktifkan port ethernet yang ke-2. Fungsi dari port ethernet tersebut adalah port 1 untuk koneksi internal umumnya private network, kemudia port 2 untuk koneksi external seperti network publik.

MCU ini support resolusi full HD 1080p di 30 fps.

Berikut ini beberapa hal yang harus dipersiapkan untuk membangun teknologi komunikasi video conference, antara lain :

• Infrastruktur / jaringan
Jaringan itu sendiri terbagi menjadi dua jenis, yaitu :
Jaringan Private, yaitu jaringan yang hanya dapat terkoneksi atau diakses oleh internal grup itu sendiri.
Jaringan Public, yaitu jaringan yang dapat terkoneksi atau diakses oleh siapa saja dan dari mana saja.
Umumnya video conference menggunakan jaringan private, tetapi dapat juga menggunakan jaringan Internet ataupun keduanya.

• Bandwidth
Pada saat menggunakan video conference, bandwidth yang dibutuhkan cukup besar. Rekomendasi kami adalah 512 kbps, walaupun secara sistem perangkat dapat dilakukan mulai dari bandwidth 128 kbps.

• Quality of Service
Umumnya, jaringan yang digunakan oleh video conference adalah sama dengan jaringan untuk data dan internet. Pada saat berjalan bersamaan biasanya aplikasi video conference mudah sekali terganggu oleh data, sehingga efeknya adalah terkadang gambar putus-putus. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut, kita dapat menerapkan Qos pada jaringan. Sehingga pada saat komunikasi video berjalan bersamaan dengan data, video tersebut tidak terganggu oleh aliran data karena kita sudah prioritaskan aplikasi video.

• Display
Display untuk video conference dapat menggunakan display apa saja, baik itu Plasma TV, LCD TV, Projector atau yang saat ini ramai dibicarakan LED TV. Ada sedikit catatan untuk Projector, yaitu ansi lumen dari projector sebaiknya diatas 3000 ansi lumen. Hal ini karena antara camera dan Projector mempunyai sifat kontra, camera butuh cahaya terang sedangkan Projector umumnya di cahaya yang redup. Untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut, kita membutuhkan ansi lumen dari Projector yang cukup tinggi.

• Pencahayaan
Pencahayaan untuk ruangan video conference lebih di utamakan menggunakan lampu neon (putih). Hal ini untuk dapat lebih menampilkan warna natural. Apabila menggunakan lampu biasa, lebih cendrung ke warna kuning. Kemudian penempatan camera apabila ada jendela tidak boleh berhadapan langsung dengan jendela. diharuskan camera tersebut berada membelakangi sumber cahaya. Hal ini akan berdampak gambar yang ditangkap camera lebih cendrung gelap.

Solusi Multipoint yang diberikan Cisco, adalah sebagai berikut :

• Cisco TelePresence Endpoint dengan MultiSite Option
Adalah Endpoint / terminal Cisco TelePresence yang ditempatkan di ruang meeting kantor pusat. Endpoint ini mempunyai opsi tambahan, yaitu MultiSIte. Fungsi dari MultiSite ini, untuk dapat berkomunikasi ke 3 lokasi kantor cabang secara bersamaan.

• Cisco TelePresence Endpoint
Adalah Endpoint / terminal Cisco TelePresence yang ditempatkan di ruang meeting masing-masing lokasi kantor cabang. Endoint kantor cabang, hanya dapat berkomunikasi secara point to point.

• Cisco TelePresence Multipoint Control Unit (MCU)
Adalah perangkat yang ditempatkan di data center, yang berfungsi untuk melakukan komunikasi video secara bersamaan (multipoint conference). Penggunaan MCU ini untuk dapat mengakomodir kebutuhan multipoint conference untuk lokasi lebih dari 3 kantor cabang. Kapasitas MCU itu sendiri terdiri dari, 6, 12, 20, 30 dan 40 video ports.
